Yesterday, February 1st, the NJ-20003rd took an hour long bus ride to Glasgow High School in Delaware and returned with five shiny new trophies! Williamstown took home 1st in Unarmed Color Guard, 2nd in Armed Color Guard, 2nd in the Academic Challenge, 3rd in Unarmed Basic, and 5th Place Overall. We are proud of our Drill Team members, and look forward to their future victories!

The NJ-20003rd Drill Team headed to Bridgetown High School for the last competition of this season. Competing in almost half the events, including PT (Physical Training) for the first time this year, Unarmed Basic, Unarmed Inspection, Armed Inspection, Academics, and Color Guard, we took home the third place trophy for Academic Presentation; and though it was a long day, each cadet gave it their all, allowing us to end this eventful year with a bang.

On March 23, 2013 the Drill team visited a NJROTC drill competition at Rancocas Valley High School. After a long eventful day of competing, out unit took home 1st place for New Cadet Basic, a team of all first year cadets. All in all, it was a fun day and an overall memorable experience with top performances from all who competed.

On December 8th, a Saturday, our Drill Team woke up before the sun and dressed in their blues to participate in the first Drill Competition of the year at Delsea Regional High School. After a short bus ride, we arrived at the Competition ready to compete. Our unit participated in Inspection, Unarmed Basic, and both Unarmed and Armed Color Guard. Although we did not place at this Army JROTC Drill Competition, it was a great experience for all the first year cadets who took part.

On Nov 29, 2012, C/MSgt Mark Winkelspecht conducted the first BCT (Basic Cadet Training) Graduation Ceremony in front of WHS on a chilly November day. But not even the cold could stop these dedicated cadets from graduating. BCT was designed by C/ Winkelspecht specifically for the NJ-20003rd Drill Team. The course spans out over several weeks and is designed to teach cadets who wish to join the drill team skills and information they will need to know to be successful on the Drill Team and as future leaders in AFJROTC. The course consisted of Physical Training, a Leadership Obstacle Course, and Basic Drill Lessons. After weeks of hard work, the dedication of these fine cadets has finally paid off. Here are photos that showcase these cadets on their hard journey.
